Bio

I’m a freelance music composer writing computer music since I was teen, inspired by videogame soundtracks. Music and technology have pretty much governed my interests ever since.

Filippo Vicarelli - Music ComposerAs freelance composer and music producer I currently write music for online videogames, and have been lucky enough to have had my music used in games published by some popular portals such as Miniclip, ArmorGames, NinjaKiwi, Kongregate and others.
Since 2010, I run a royalty-free music loops library called PlayOnLoop, a smart and affordable alternative to the usual royalty-free stock music libraries, trying to put some strong vibe and personality in it for the creative and open-minded people.

Artists and composers I get inspired by (excerpt): Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Nobuo Uematsu, Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugidan, Yuzo koshiro, Jun Senoue, Michiryu Yamane, Masato Nakamura, Bjorn Lynne, Alexander Brandon, Glenn Stafford, Michael Land, Jason Hayes, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, …

For those of you wondering about my nickname ‘the Midi Tamer’ I use on the internet, there are no cool stories behind. I love MIDI technology and just picked a funny RPG-like name.
